Tell Ryan about your child, and she will help you with best next steps to get you the support you need. 

Ryan will complete thorough testing based on your child's needs. This might include speech and/or language testing, reading assessments, writing assessments, and more. A written report will always be provided and a discussion session will be scheduled to review the information with caregivers and/or a school team. 

Ryan will develop a systematic and structured literacy intervention plan for your child based on the science of reading with specific goals and an explicit scope and sequence. Areas of focus may include phonological/phonemic awareness and phonics for decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and text comprehension.

Many students are challenged by academic writing. Ryan is able to provide intervention to target all areas of the writing process, including investigating and research, taking notes, prewriting, organization, drafting, revising and expanding, as well as editing.

Some students do best when given support around executive function skills, such as organizing, prioritizing, and task completion. Additionally, these students may need specific support in one, or a few, academic areas. There are also students who benefit from repetition and extra practice to enrich their understanding of a specific subject or concept. In these cases, Ryan can provide academic coaching, tutoring, and enrichment.

From articulation therapy to expressive and receptive language disorders, and beyond, Ryan can provide traditional speech and language therapy to students requiring it. 

Ryan is more than happy to communicate with a student's school team, or others working with the student, to ensure supports and strategies necessary for success are being implemented across settings.

Based on scheduling and availability, Ryan is able to work with students virtually or in-person. 

It can be difficult to schedule sessions after school if your child has extracurricular activities. Ryan is more than happy to work with your child's school to schedule sessions during the school day. This can also allow for more collaboration with your child's school team as well.
